Crowns & bridges

Strength first, beauty always — both from our own bench.

A dental crown — also called a cap — fits over your tooth and replaces an entire decayed or damaged tooth surface. Functionally, a crown can keep a weak tooth from breaking, restore one that already has, protect a root-canal-treated tooth, or rebuild a heavily filled tooth into something strong and seamless.

A bridge replaces a missing tooth by crowning the teeth either side of the gap and attaching the replacement tooth (the pontic) between them. The adjacent teeth must be substantially reshaped to carry the crowns — which is why, where the neighbouring teeth are healthy, a dental implant is often the more conservative alternative worth discussing.

Every crown and bridge is designed with your dentist and crafted at Ikigai Ceramics — shade-matched, hand-characterised and signed off by a senior ceramist.

When a crown helps

  • Cracked or heavily filled teeth
  • After root canal therapy
  • Worn or broken-down teeth
  • Bridges to replace a missing tooth
  • All crafted at Ikigai Ceramics

Where adjacent teeth are healthy, ask your dentist whether an implant is the more conservative option for replacing a missing tooth.
