What is Ikigai Dental Group?
A Melbourne family of three dental practices — Glenferrie Dental (Hawthorn), Purity Dental (Mulgrave) and On Track Dental (Rosanna) — together with Ikigai Ceramics, our own boutique laboratory. Each clinic keeps its own team and community; the group provides one shared standard.
Which clinic should I book at?
The one closest to you — every clinic provides general and family dentistry. For advanced implant and full-arch treatment, Glenferrie Dental is our surgical hub, and your local clinic can coordinate care there. Several dentists consult at more than one location.
Why does having your own laboratory matter?
Your crown, veneer or full-arch prosthesis is made by people we employ, minutes from where it’s fitted — hand-crafted, signed off by a senior ceramist, with in-person shade matching and adjustments in hours rather than shipping weeks.
Do I need a referral for dental implants?
No. Diagnostics, surgery and restoration are provided within the group — from single implants to All-On-X. A consultation is required to determine suitability; treatment times vary.
How much does a dental implant cost?
A single tooth implant starts at $4,500 as a package — implant screw, abutment and porcelain crown. All-On-X full-arch treatment starts at $24,990 including implants, screws, abutments and the bridge. Pricing is indicative and varies with your condition, requirements and materials; your written quote comes after consultation.
I’m anxious about the dentist. Can you help?
Yes. Options include unhurried appointments, your own music, low-dose anxiety medication where clinically appropriate — you stay conscious and in control — and sleep dentistry at Glenferrie and Purity. Tell us when you book.
Do you accept my health fund?
All health funds at every clinic, with on-the-spot HICAPS claiming — plus payment plans, Afterpay, the National Dental Plan and SuperCare guidance.
Do you see emergencies?
Yes. Call your nearest clinic as soon as possible and you’ll be offered the earliest available appointment.
Are new patients welcome?
Always, at all three clinics. Glenferrie offers a complimentary implant consultation including an OPG x-ray, and On Track offers a $250 new patient special.
